TMD, Snoring and Obstructive Sleep Apnea: Managing The Complex Patient

There’s no crying in baseball--or in dentistry--or so they say. There is no place for emotions in the workplace, right? Wrong! There is nothing wrong with emotions.

This year we’ll define oral appliance therapy protocol using the medical model as our guide. Dr. Allman will discuss sequencing and managing orthopedic relationships, dental pathologies, snoring and OSA. When should we treat both and does it really matter?

While follow-up documentation is essential for therapeutic success, it can be confusing. Documentation strategies via follow-up questionnaires for TMD, snoring, OSA and Complex dental patients will also be presented.

• Learn the differences between the OSA, TMD and Complex patients to avoid diagnostic and treatment frustration.
• Clarify referral and dental/medical treatment planning for OSA, TMD and COMPLEX patients.
• Dr. Allman will present three different questionnaire forms for following the progress of OSA, TMD and COMPLEX patients.
