Live webinarIn this webinar we will try to elucidate the current knowledge and results when using such materials in soft tissue augmentation around implants and show possible new ways to simultaneously regenerate both soft and hard tissues during implant placement thus reducing the time of treatment and morbidity of the patients.
Autogenous tissue is still considered as the gold standard when it comes to soft tissue augmentation around implants. Having adequate soft tissue height, thickness and keratinization seem to be a prerequisite for long term stability of bone around implants and survival rates. However, harvesting autogenous tissue increases the morbidity of the patient adding one more surgical site. In order to decrease patient morbidity in recent years collagenous matrices have been introduced as potential materials for soft tissue augmentation. Results from clinical trials have shown various results when these materials were compared to autogenous tissue. In this webinar we will try to elucidate the current knowledge and results when using such materials in soft tissue augmentation around implants and show possible new ways to simultaneously regenerate both soft and hard tissues during implant placement thus reducing the time of treatment and morbidity of the patients.
