Sammy Noumbissi obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Howard University in Washington DC. He was then selected to attend the prestigious Loma Linda University Graduate Program in Implant Dentistry. There he received three years of formal training in dental implantology which culminated with a certificate in Implant Dentistry and a Master of Science degree in Implant Surgery. He has published abstracts and articles in peer reviewed dental journals namely the Journal of Dental Research, the Journal of Oral Implantology and the Journal of Implant and Clinical Dentistry. He lectures in the United States and internationally across the globe in the field of metal free dental implantology. His areas of research focuses on the bioceramics and their use as regenerative, implant and restorative material in dental implantology. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Oral Implantology, member of the editorial board of the Journal of Implant and Advanced Clinical Dentistry and many other international journals. Dr. Noumbissi is the founding president of the International Academy of Ceramic Implantology (www.IAOCI.com) and practices metal free implantology in Silver Spring, Maryland USA.
