Dirk-Rolf Gieselmann served in the medical device sector for over 20 years. After studying dental technology at the CUNO Technical High school he became chief laboratory manager at the university school of dentistry Witten/Herdecke. To extend his knowledge in aesthetic reconstructions and orthodontics Dirk worked as a assistant laboratory manager at the creative dental ceramics Beverly Hills Medical Center and at the Duringer Orthodontic laboratory Alameda, CA. In 1991 Dirk started his career in medical sales management at the Dental Implant Market Leader STRAUMANN. While he was working for Straumann as a regional sales manager he completed his business education and past several diploma programs (Marketing Management, Sankt Gallen School of business, Finance, Kellogs Graduate School of Management). To extend his management skills Dirk did work part time in a consultancy as associated partner for almost three years. In 1995 he started his executive career being responsible for the build up of the 3i organisation in Germany. Dirk shortly became General Manager and grew the business from 0 to over 20 Mio. DM within three years. Dirk than took up the responsibility for the start up organisation for ALIGN Technology in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and built the market for the invisible braces technology. Within 12 month the ALIGN company was market leader in this business and generated over 7 MIO € in the first year of operations. In 2002 Dirk became General Manager of MATHYS Osteosynthese GmbH , he reorganised the business and managed a buy-out process of the 70 Mio€ business successfully. Since 2006 Dirk is working for Clinical House Europe GmbH with the main goal to identify new business opportunities and starting up new business ventures and building a future player in the Dental Implant market.
