Jerome Smith DDS

After graduating cum laude from the University of Louisiana, Dr. Smith graduated from LSU’s School of Dentistry in 1980. He has spent more than 32 years practicing General Dentistry with an emphasis on implant dentistry and comprehensive adult reconstructive care for the past 28 years.
Dr. Smith has received recognition as a Diplomate for the International Congress of Oral Implantology and is a Past Continuing Education Chairman for the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a member of:
  • The American Academy of Implant Dentistry
  • The American Society of Osseointegration
  • The American Academy of Dental Anesthesiology
  • The Pierre Fouchard Academy
  • The American Dental Association
  • The Louisiana Dental Association
  • The Acadiana District Dental Association, where he also served as Past President
  • Louisiana State Board of Dentistry
Dr. Smith also serves as a Board Member of the Louisiana Academy of Continuing Education and Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor and Alumni Board Member at the LSU School of Dentistry. He is involved with Latin World Ministries Dental/Medical Project, Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic, and St. Bernadette’s Clinic. Dr. Smith currently serves as a Board Member of Pope John Paul Academy in Lafayette as well.
Dr. Smith has been published in Dental Implant Digest, The Farran Report, Dentaltown, The Implant Society, LDA Journal, ADDA Quarterly News, The Consumer’s Guide to Dentistry, and PPAD. He has given lectures and presentations on a variety of subjects including Successful Case Presentation Using Digital Photography and Imaging, Practical and Clinical Management of Implant Dentistry in General Dental Practice, and a live surgery and lecture course for dentists throughout the U.S. entitled Implant Dentistry in Black and White.
Dr. Smith is married to the former Germaine Gerami and has two daughters, Katheryne and Caroline. Katheryne now works as a dental hygienist at our practice, and Caroline is enrolled in the Physician Assistant program at LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Smith enjoys fishing, hunting, running, LSU football, and hanging out with his family.

Daniel Domingue DDS

>Dr. Daniel Domingue graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and obtained his DDS degree in 2007. After Dental School He went on to a three year in advanced training at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in New York City, he served as Chief Resident of the Dental and Oral Surgery Department. His training included one year in General Practice Residency and two years in Dental Implantology Fellowship.

During these years, he was awarded the Certificate of Achievement from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry for outstanding leadership in Implant Dentistry, a Fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and an Associate Fellowship of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in New York City.

After residency and during his first years in private practice Dr. Domingue was awarded the Diplomate from the American Board of Oral Implantology in Las Vegas, NV, the highest award possible for a general dentist practicing implantology. He was also recognized as the youngest recipient of this award in the entire world.

Dr. Domingue was later given a Mastership and Diplomate award from the International Congress of Oral Implantology in New York City for his outstanding work in Implant Dentistry and a Fellowship award from The American Academy of Implant Dentistry in Phoeniz, AZ. Dr. Domingue is a member of the American Dental Association as well as the Acadiana District Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry, and is the Founder and President of Acadiana Southern Society.
