MTA, Bioceramics materials and the future perspective in this field
This year, MTA is celebrating 17 years of experimental and clinical success. Due to its remarkable biological and physical properties, MTA became the gold-standard reparative material for a variety of clinical situation.
In fact, MTA can be considered the closest to the ideal reparative material that has been yet developed and its main properties will be discussed in this talk. Moreover, MTA made room for a new class of Endodontic biomaterials – the so-called Bioceramic sealers. So, this lecture will address in a deep way the ongoing debate about potential of the new Bioceramic sealers for Endodontics - nano-particulated and ready-to-use cements as well as Bioceramic sealers for root canal filling. To summarize, the lecture will concentrate on the new future perspectives of the Bioceramics materials in Endodontics.
