Introduction to Cone Beam CT (CBCT), especially as it pertains to Prevention of Failures in Oral Implantology
Part I: During the first half of the lecture, provide an overview on the need for CBCT 3-D based imaging technology as it pertains to a diversity of applications suitable for both general dentists and specialists (i.e., Oral Implantology; Tooth Impactions, Education; TMJD and Other Anomalies).
Part II: During the second half of the lecture, concentrate on Cone Beam CT-based imaging as it pertains to prevention of failures in oral implantology in a variety of treatment areas, ultimately facilitating safer treatment planning and predictable restorative/aesthetic results, and providing the attendees with step-by-step implant site assessment.
After taking this course the attendee will be able to understand:
- Need for CBCT 3-D imaging in dentistry.
- CBCT 3-D dose comparison.
- Basic CBCT 3-D applications.
- CBCT 3-D for oral implantology and beyond…
