From Straightforward To Complex, a Team Approach To Implant Dentistry
Implant dentistry has made enormous strides due to our increased knowledge of biologic principles, improvements in implant design, surface technology, surgical procedures, and the continued development in our ability to regenerate lost tissue.
Optimum treatment outcomes can only be achieved through the application of a comprehensive clinical concept based on experience, a thorough examination, risk assessment, treatment plan, and “a team approach” that brings together the patient, periodontist/surgeon, prosthodontist/restorative dentist, and dental technician. This course will cover how to treat patients comprehensively from the straightforward to the most complex using the oral plastic surgeon as a key in the complex prosthetic and esthetic reconstruction.
After viewing this webinar, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss importance of the SAC Classification (straightforward (S), advanced (A) and complex (C) as it pertains to presenting case types.
- Demonstrate systematic diagnosis and team treatment planning with proper sequence of therapy from straightforward to complex cases in complex esthetic implant reconstructions with emphasis on esthetic risk assessment.
- Discuss clinical procedures that are pro-active for determining esthetic-restorative outcomes in areas of available and deficient bone requiring Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR).
