Decision-making in immediacy—what, when, how and why
A clinical study on a newly developed implant designed for high primary stability was performed over the last two years, which resulted in well-documented number of cases where we measured insertion torque, bone quality, ISQ values and used standardised radiographs. We compared immediate or early loading to conventional loading and the changes in ISQ values over time. This lecture will discuss the results of the study and what we can learn from it in daily practice.
Learning objectives:
- Understanding how ISQ works and what we are measuring
- Understanding how to make use of it and what the values really tell us
- Understanding what is safe and what is unsafe when it comes to loading protocols
