The Potential of the Dentatus System in Enhancing Efficiency and Reliability of the Chairside IOS Treatments
In recent years, the spread of IOS has significantly advanced prosthetic and restorative treatments, but traditional workflows have had challenges in terms of accuracy and coordination. The Dentatus system addresses these issues, enabling efficient and reliable chairside treatment. When used in combination with procedures such as the IDS method and resin coating, it also improves scanning accuracy and fit, contributing to the quality of treatment and stability of prognosis. This lecture will introduce practical methods for implementing it.
In recent years, the widespread use of intraoral scanners (IOS) has brought about a significant transformation in dental practice, particularly in the fields of prosthodontic and restorative treatments. Chairside immediate restorations and same-day prosthodontics have most attracted attention as approaches that improve both patient satisfaction and clinical efficiency. However, conventional IOS workflows still face certain challenges in daily practice, such as ensuring scan accuracy, managing complex data processing, and coordinating seamlessly with chairside CAD/CAM systems. This lecture will introduce the “Dentatus System” as a solution to these challenges. The system has the potential to significantly advance both the efficiency and reliability of chairside treatment in prosthodontic and restorative dentistry. Furthermore, cavity preparation specifically designed for IOS, the application of IDS (Immediate Dentin Sealing), and resin coating contribute to improved scannability and margin clarity. These approaches directly simplify CAD design and enhance overall precision. Such strategies not only improve the accuracy of fit but also play a crucial role in the long-term stable prognosis of prosthodontic and restorative treatments, ultimately supporting the longevity of restorations. To achieve these outcomes, the Dentatus System proves to be highly effective and efficient, equipping clinicians with the ability to elevate chairside treatment to a new level. This session aims to enhance the quality of prosthodontic and restorative care in daily clinical practice, while providing patients with efficient and reliable digital treatment. In addition, the session will present practical clinical applications of the Dentatus System.
