Live webinarIn an era where clinical expectations and patient demands continue to rise, dentists face increasingly complex decisions regarding tooth preservation versus replacement. This symposium brings together two complementary presentations that explore the evolving landscape of endodontic retreatment and implant therapy—two pillars of modern restorative decision-making.
The first presentation examines how advancements in diagnostic capability, anatomical understanding, and modern nickel-titanium engine-driven instrumentation have dramatically enhanced the predictability and efficiency of endodontic retreatment. Teeth once deemed hopeless may now be saved through refined techniques and better biological insight. Yet, implant therapy remains a valid and often compelling alternative. The discussion will focus on how clinicians can critically evaluate current evidence, balance retreatment and implant options, and ethically guide patients toward truly informed decisions.
The second presentation provides a focused overview of the rapidly growing field of immediate implant placement and immediate restoration—an approach now deeply embedded in contemporary full-arch solutions such as the All-on-X concept and supported by protocols like PATZI. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the indications, advantages, limitations, and procedural considerations of this treatment modality, enabling them to integrate it safely and effectively into practice.
Together, these sessions will equip clinicians with a comprehensive framework for navigating complex treatment choices, optimizing outcomes, and enhancing patient communication in the modern restorative environment.
