Live webinarFor many years, surgical treatment for peri-implantitis has been one of the main therapeutic options for halting the disease and thus extending the useful life of dental implants.
Surgical options include access surgery, resective surgery, reconstructive therapies and combined approaches. The latter are particularly relevant in complex defects and in cases where we also need to modify the quantity and/or quality of the peri-implant soft tissues. In the first part of the session, we will discuss the predictability of these surgical approaches with the aim of stopping the pathology.
However, it should be noted that these procedures are often complex, associated with patient morbidity, and have significant learning curves. Therefore, in the second part of the session, we will show the step by step of a minimally invasive surgical treatment, without flaps, that is within the reach of any professional. Finally, we will present the promising results of different research protocols that we are performing to evaluate the efficacy of this treatment protocol.
