A Review of Porcine Xenografts in Periodontal and Implant-Related Surgery
Clinicans have several available options for treating various bony defects related to natural teeth, extraction sockets, and dental implants. While autografts, allografts, xenografts, and alloplasts are commonly used during treatment, this presentation will focus on the latest porcine xenografts and the characteristics that make them ideal for use. In addition, a new pre-hydrated membrane will be introduced in treating gingival recession defects, as well as implant-related bone grafting cases.
