Dr. Adel El – Lababidi, Ph.D. was born in Damascus, Syria on December 14^th, 1971. In 1997 he graduated from the Charles University 1^st Faculty of Medicine in Prague, Czech Republic, where he had studied dentistry. Immediately after graduation he started working in the Dental Clinic and Cleft Anomalies Department of the Charles University 3^rd Faculty of Medicine and Vinohrady University Teaching Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic. In here he gradually promoted up to the post of Assistant Professor. He left the university in 2007. In 2006 he opened his own Dental Practice in Prague. The practice is specialized on Aesthetic Dentistry and Periodontology. He is the author and co-author of 24 articles and more than 90 lectures in both The Czech Republic and abroad. Furthermore he is the Holder of „Dental Progress Award 2007 for Best Clinical Study“. Study’s subject: „The Possibilities of Treating Cervical Defects. A Four-year Clinical Study Comparing the Clinical Performance of Three Most Commonly Used Materials in Treating Cervical Defects”. The award is given by the ICDE in Schann, Lichtenstein. Since 2008 he is also a member of the editorial board of StomaTeam – a specialized dental magazine issued 6 times a year in both the Czech and Slovak Republic.
