New materials in soft and hard tissue preservation: First experiences with collacone® max & mucoderm® punch
In this lecture we will share our short term experience, tips for handling and way of use of collacone® max and mucoderm® punch.
Reducing bone loss to maintain the bony contour and the soft tissue profile following tooth extraction is one of the most difficult objects nowadays. Up to our knowledge, the resorption of the buccal plate cannot be avoided, but reduced. Periodontal biotype, site examination and the plan for the final restoration should be considered when choosing the preservation technique and material.
Different aspects of soft and hard tissue preservation for bridges or implants at healthy or inflamed sites in thick or thin biotype patients should be taken into account. Material selection and application as well as timing of implant placement depend on several factors and should be considered on the basis of individual aspects for each case. With the wide range of botiss biomaterials, we can significantly reduce the negative changes in the volume of soft and hard tissues during the post-extraction healing period. collacone® max can be a pioneer of the synthetic biomaterials in the field of socket preservation.
