What’s New in Clinical Materials
This course, presented by Shannon Pace, DA II, guides dental assistants through the most current information available on today’s various aesthetic materials.
Participants will learn which materials work, which ones fall short, as well as the whens, wheres and whys of what to use. The course will also cover alginates vs. polyvinyl; bite registrations; dentin desensitizers; direct and indirect composite materials; flowables and bonding adhesives; light curing technology; finishing and polishing instrumentations; glass ionomer, resin ionomer and resin cements; bleaching systems; and much more.

Shannon Pace, a DA II and a 1994 graduate of the Dental Assisting Program at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, works with Dr. John Cranham in his private practice in Chesapeake, Virginia. She is the Clinical Director for the Cranham Dental Seminars and the main instructor for the Dental Assistants Hands-On Program. Shannon is the past-president of the Metrolina Dental Assistants Society in Charlotte. She is also on the advisory board for the dental assistant program at Central Piedmont Community College. Shannon is the Co-Editor-in-Chief for Reality Team 'aRTie.' She is Editor-in-Chief for Contemporary Dental Assisting and she also has a column she shares with Dr. Cranham called Contemporary Product Review. |
