Clinical digital photography is arguably the most important tool for communication in a dental office, allowing practitioners to educate patients without having to hold a mirror and point.

Everything from patient education to lab communication can be facilitated with good pictures. In this course, Dr. John Cranham and Shannon Pace, DA II, will present the following:

Dr.John Cranham

Dr. John C. Cranham has a contemporary dental practice in Chesapeake, Virginia, focusing on cosmetic, restorative and implant services. An honors graduate of the Medical College of Virginia in 1988, Dr. Cranham maintains a strong relationship with his alma mata, as an Associate Clinical Professor.

Dr. Cranham is an internationally recognized speaker on the Esthetic Principles of Smile Design, Contemporary Occlusal Concepts, Treatment Planning, Restoration Selection, Digital Photography, Laboratory Communication, and Happiness and Fulfillment in Dentistry.

Dr. Cranham founded Cranham Dental Seminars which provides a combination of lecture, mobile hands-on programs, and intensive 2-day hands-on experiences. Additionally he is a member of the primary faculty of the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies where he teaches Seminar II with Dr.s Dawson and Dupont, along with two three-day hands-on programs (Functional Esthetic Excellence I & II).

Dr. Cranham is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, and The American Equilibration Society. A published author, Dr. Cranham has a strong commitment to providing the highest quality of dental care, along with developing sound educational programs that exceed the needs of today's dental professional. Shannon Pace, DA II

Shannon Pace, a DA II and a 1994 graduate of the Dental Assisting Program at Bowman Gray School of Medicine, works with Dr. John Cranham in his private practice in Chesapeake, Virginia. She is the Clinical Director for the Cranham Dental Seminars and the main instructor for the Dental Assistants Hands-On Program. Shannon is the past-president of the Metrolina Dental Assistants Society in Charlotte. She is also on the advisory board for the dental assistant program at Central Piedmont Community College. Shannon is the Co-Editor-in-Chief for Reality Team 'aRTie.' She is Editor-in-Chief for Contemporary Dental Assisting and she also has a column she shares with Dr. Cranham called Contemporary Product Review.
