Occlusal wear and occlusal disease are one of the greatest threats to the dentition of the baby boomer population. Aging presents many unique challenges, and unlike their parents baby boomers expect to keep their teeth in health and function for their entire lives.

Course fee: $199.00

Therefore being able to design comprehensive treatment plans that address occlusal, esthetic and biological concerns, along with the correct material selection, will be essential to the successful restorative practice. In this course, Dr. John C. Cranham and Buddy Shafer, CDT, will present a step-by-step, programmed approach to optimum treatment planning.

Highlights of the course include the following:

  • Choosing an incisal edge position that will satisfy both the esthetic and functional parameters.
  • How and when to safely open the vertical dimension of occlusion.
  • Precisely contouring provisional restorations to test and refine the esthetic and functional goals.
  • Communicating with the dental laboratory to eliminate all guesswork in large case dentistry.
  • Choosing the correct restorative materials to solve functional and esthetic problems.
