The unique properties of the portable 14 watt SIROLaser Advance 980 nanometer (nm) class diode laser adds great value to the everyday practice of dentistry.

Course fee: $95.00

You and Your SIROLaser the True Everyday Value of the 980nm Diode Laser – Live Demonstration

This presentation will demonstrate the tremendous importance of utilizing a high peak power and water convection cooling in controlling and obtaining the desired tissue responses for several of the routine procedures that clinicians perform on a daily basis with this portable 980 nm class laser.

The New Uses of Diode Lasers

Attendees will learn in this presentation how the new cost effective diodes can be used routinely in daily practice to make life simpler and more productive. Routine daily procedures including gingivectomies, laser crown troughing, treatment of oral lesions, and integration of the diode laser into dental hygiene will be covered.

Breakthrough Minimally Invasive Endodontics with the Er:YAG Laser

A new, simple, easy to learn, minimally invasive Er:YAG laser endodontic technique has the potential to dramatically reduce the chair time needed to debride, disinfect and obturate the root canal system. Traditional endodontic techniques lend themselves to the over enlargement of the root canal system in order to disinfect and obturate the system. As dentistry is moving towards more minimally invasive techniques, the use of the Er:YAG laser shows much promise in both disinfection (smear layer removal), and the ability to maintain minimally invasive concepts with the use of resin sealers for obturation. Not only does the use of laser energy play a roll in endodontic treatment, but the photoacoustic effect of the Er:YAG laser via the PIPS™ (Photon Induced Photo Acoustic Streaming) phenomena, is enhanced with a new tapered and stripped tip design. This new tip design significantly improves the chemomechanical cleansing and shaping of the root canal walls, yielding consistent debridement and decontamination of the canal system. Utilizing the Er:YAG laser in the root canal system the dentist can better negotiate the canal three dimensionally resulting in reduced patient chair time and greater efficiency. rmamentarium of every dental operatory.
