In this course, Dr. Robert A. Lowe will offer techniques to create direct anterior and posterior composite restoration that are morphologically precise.

Course fee: $199.00

A simple layering technique for an anterior direct composite will be presented, along with the use of tints to create lifelike restorations, a posterior Class I composite with secondary anatomy and external staining, and a Class II direct composite using a sectional matrix. Proper anatomic contour will be emphasized. Participants will learn how to use various esthetic materials in combination with proper finishing techniques to enable state-of-the-art restorations.

This course will also cover the following:

  • The proper morphology for anterior and posterior teeth, and how to re-create it in composite restorative materials.
  • Placement and curing techniques for contour, finishing and polishing of anterior and posterior direct composites.
  • Both internal and external staining techniques that will make composite restorations come alive.
  • Decreasing sensitivity and increasing predictability with direct composite materials.
