Keeping the success of implant therapy both esthetically and functionally in mind, this course will explore the diagnostic variables and corresponding treatment procedures when endodontic therapy and tooth retention is selected, or when extraction followed by implant therapy is chosen.

Participants will learn the following:

  • How to evaluate whether to retain a tooth through endodontic therapy to or replace the root with an implant.
  • How to identify the anatomic limitations of the tooth socket in immediate implant placement and restoration.
  • How to utilize prosthodontic techniques creating ideal gingival architecture for implant restorations.
  • Utilizing orthodontic, periodontic and prosthodontic treatments to improve endodontically treated teeth as well as dental implants
